Dubai is world-famous for its innovations, world records, and fantastic ideas embodied in the architecture of this city of the future. It is difficult to keep up with the novelties that open here almost every day, but this is precisely the highlight of this amazing city in the United Arab Emirates.
Once in Dubai, any tourist wants to explore the city maximally and see as many interesting things as possible. Perhaps the most convenient way to do this is to visit one of the city's observation decks. The choice is huge, but today we would like to introduce you to a completely new platform, which has become one of the most amazing and unusual.
Sky Views is an observation deck that opened on November 26, 2021, at Sky Views Towers. The design looks like a ship protruding from one tower and penetrating the second one with its bow and is located at an altitude of 200 meters above Dubai.
The uniqueness of this tourist attraction is that it is not just another place from which you can get a bird's eye view of the city. This is a separate attraction that will take your breath away. In addition, there is not one attraction, but three!
Sky Observatory is a two-story observation deck on level 52. You can get there by a high-speed glass elevator which makes it possible for you to start admiring the sprawling views before reaching the top. Stunning landscapes open up for you from here – the Persian Gulf with man-made islands and almost the entire grandiose city center with majestic skyscrapers.
At level 53, which can be reached by an exquisite spiral staircase, there is the Sky Glass Slide, a glass slide that you can use to ride at a dizzying height of 219.5 meters above the ground. The attraction is not for the faint-hearted. You will receive a thorough briefing from the staff before you slide down. Among the prohibitions are any touches to the glass during the descent, as well as descent on the stomach or back. You can only sit on a special rug, holding tightly to the straps. There is only glass around, and you get the complete impression that you are sliding through the air at a breathtaking height. It may feel like you will fly forward, breaking through the glass with your feet. Understandably, this will not happen, but truly chilling sensations will be remembered for a long time.
The descent under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. In addition, the participant must not have any psychological or emotional abnormalities.
Having descended, the guests find themselves outside since the front of the site literally protrudes from the building, hanging over the ground at a great height. From here, right in front of you in all its glory, there is the world's most famous skyscraper Burj Khalifa, which you can probably see from this angle only here.
No less vivid impressions await you on the glass floor of the corridor looping around the tower. It is 46 meters long and walking through it, one can see the elegant curves of Dubai's road junctions, with cars that seem tiny from here.
Another attraction that can be called one of the most extreme is the Sky Edge Walk open area. Here, at an altitude of more than 200 meters, you can go outside the building and hang over the abyss on special equipment. This attraction is also allowed under certain conditions. The weight of those wishing to take part should be from 30 to 150 kg, and the height must be from 1.20 to 2 meters. Clothing and shoes should be as comfortable as possible, without any sharp parts that could scratch the glass.
Sky Views has honorably taken its place among the most interesting sights of the city. When you come to Dubai, do not forget to include this object in the list of must-see places in the UAE.
