Palm Monorail

The Palm Monorail became operational on April 30th, 2009 and is the only monorail system in operation in all Middle East. Palm Monorail runs between Gateway Station (at the bottom of the Palm) and Atlantis Aquaventure Station (at the top of the Palm). These two stations are the only operational stations at the moment. Parking is free in the 1,600 car parking lot next to the Gateway Station.

Monorail is a driverless train. In case of an emergency, there is personnel on board to rectify the situation and help the passengers.

There are only two types of tickets, one-way priced at AED 15 and return priced at AED 25. Tickets can be bought at both stations, either at the ticket machines or the clerk operated booth. The only method of payment accepted is cash. Children less than 90 cm in height ride for free.

Trains operate daily from 10.00’am to 10.00’pm, at approximately 15 minutes intervals.
