Mall of the Emirates

Mall of the Emirates (MOE) is the first major shopping mall constructed in Dubai by Majid Al Futtaim Properties. MOE is located along Sheikh Zayed Road and is linked to Dubai Metro via the MOE Metro Station on the Red Line. MOE opened its doors in November of 2005 and is the main landmark in the Al Barsha locality. MOE boasts a total of 220,000 sq.m. retail area that is distributed in 3 levels (ground, 1st and 2nd), each level having its own huge parking lot, next to the shopping area. There is a 4th level on top of the building that is used exclusively for car parking.

MOE is a real paradise to thousands of uncompromising shoppers. The mall is home to close to one thousand retail stores, over 120 food outlets, 100 luxury stores and over 8,000 parking spots. Stores at MOE include Carrefour supermarket, Harvey Nichols, Debenhams and Marks & Spencer department stores, Home Centre, numerous high-fashion branded stores and boutiques, electronics, jewellery and furniture stores, as well as book, toys and cosmetics stores.

The main attraction though is Ski Dubai, the largest indoors snow park of the world. Ski Dubai offers snowboarding and skiing lessons, a play area for kids and a café. Of particular interest is the interactive live penguin show, taking place on the ground floor of the premises.

Other entertainment venues include the Magic Planet, a 24-screen VOX Cinemas complex and the Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre (DUCTAC), all of them on the 2nd level. The Kempinski MOE hotel is attached to the mall and the Sheraton MOE hotel is in close proximity.
