Dubai Mall is one of the 11 projects that comprise Downtown Dubai. It is located right next to Burj Khalifa and is linked to Dubai Metro by the Burj Khalifa/The Dubai Mall metro station.

Opened on November 4th, 2008, Dubai Mall has become in a short time the centre of the universe for millions of visitors and one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks.

Dubai Mall holds the record for the largest mall in the world by total area (its total area being 1,100,000 square metres) and for the world’s largest acrylic panel built for the aquarium inside the mall.

Shopping and Entertainment are the main attractions of the mall.

Fashion Avenue is the crown jewel of the mall. All world famous brands have set up shop here. Armani, Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gucci, Hermes, Ralph Lauren and Versace, to name a few, present their latest creations at Fashion Avenue.

The Souk, designed as a traditional Arabic souk, features jewelry and gold shops, accessory shops, clothing and handicraft shops, as well as restaurants and cafes that serve traditional Arabic food.

Level Shoe District, as the name implies, is an almost 9,000 square metres area dedicated to footwear and related accessories.

The Village Denim District at Dubai Mall offers visitors a unique shopping experience by focusing on high fashion denim products and carrying brand names such as: Caterpillar, Harley Davidson, Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger Denim, 7 For All Mankind and TRBJ.

Educational and recreational venues include but are not limited to:

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. More than 300 species of marine and aquatic animals are featured in this amazing design, including sharks, crocodiles, penguins, sting rays, piranhas and crabs amongst others.

KidZania. It is an indoor children-scaled city where kids are introduced to the real world by mimicking activities done by adults in real life.

SEGA Republic. It is a large indoor theme park with more than 150 games, rides and simulators, based mainly on SEGA’s video games hero Sonic the Hedgehog.

Dubai Ice Rink. An Olympic level ice rink open to the public that offers skating lessons through its Learn-to Skate programme. Dubai Ice Rink is also hosting international competition events and various shows.

Dubai Dino. A unique display of a dinosaur skeleton at The Souk.

The Emirates A380 Flight Simulator. Visitors can try their hand and feel the thrill by taking the pilot’s seat in this Airbus flagship. It is a unique and exhilarating experience.

Reel Cinemas. You can watch the latest movies in this 22-screen, state of the art movie theater complex.
