City Walk Dubai is a 2-phase multi-million dollar commercial and residential project, developed by Meraas. City Walk is located on Al Safa Street, between Al Mustaqbal Street and Al Wasl Road, across Dubai Mall interchange.
Phase 1 is a strip along Al Safa Street stretching from Al Satwa to Al Wasl roads. It is purely commercial area with a lot of cafes and restaurants, a few clothing stores, a pharmacy and a Spinneys supermarket. In the back of the front line stores there is a small plaza with a fountain at the centre surrounded by a number of food outlets.
Phase 2 lies between Al Mustaqbal Street and Al Satwa Road and has a commercial and a residential area. Most of the commercial part of Phase 2 has been completed and given to the public, whereas the residential part is still under construction. Phase 2 evolves around a central plaza with a fountain and consists of an indoor shopping mall, a Reel Cinema complex and several venues such as Hub Zero, The Jungle Book, Mattel Play! Town, Green Planet and Hareem Al Sultan. There is a small street, connecting the fountain to Phase 1 area, with buildings designed in the late Georgian and Victorian style. There is even a Royal Mail post box and a traditional English red phone booth. Miniature double decker buses and vintage cars transport City Walk visitors around the complex.
