Arabs are renowned for their courtesy and hospitality and Dubai is not an exception. Visitors to Dubai will enjoy a warm welcome by locals. When you enter a house you have been invited at, take off your shoes at the door. Be courteous and respectful to the elderly, the ladies and the other guests who may be in the house. Avoid hand shaking with Muslim ladies unless they initiate the greeting by extending their hand. If your invitation includes a meal, accept food first and then deal with any business or other matter that was the reason of your invitation. When hosting Muslims do not offer them pork or alcohol.
