SHEIKH ZAYED ROAD

E11 is the longest road in the Emirates, stretching from Abu Dhabi to the Omani border in Ras Al Khaimah. In Dubai E11 is known as Sheikh Zayed Road (SZR). SZR is the main highway of Dubai, running parallel to the coast from the Trade Centre Roundabout to the Dubai - Abu Dhabi border, some 55 km away. In Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road has six to eight lanes in each direction. SZR is hosting most of Dubai’s high-rise landmarks, including the Emirates Towers. Trade Centre 1 and 2 (aka Dubai Financial Centre) are also localities lying along SZR.

DOWNTOWN DUBAI

Downtown Dubai is a large mixed-use development that hosts some of the most famous landmarks in Dubai. The complex occupies the area opposite Al Wasl, along Sheikh Zayed Road and is linked to the Metro by the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station. Downtown Dubai is divided into 11 sub-projects. At the centre of it sit Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, The Address Downtown hotel, Khalifa Island Park and Dubai Fountain. The residential part of Downtown Dubai is comprised of The Old Town and The Old Town Island (low-rise residencies that include Souk Al Bahar and three hotels) and The Residences, South Ridge and Emaar Boulevard (high-rise towers). Emaar Square, a low-rise office complex, is the 11th of the sub-projects.

BURJ KHALIFA

Burj Khalifa, named to honour the president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, is the focal point of Downtown Dubai. Its 829.8 m length makes Burj Khalifa the tallest building in the world. It is a mixed-use building with Armani Hotel occupying the first 39 floors. The rest of the 154 usable floors are occupied by residencies and offices.

DUBAI MALL

Opened on November 4th, 2008 Dubai Mall holds the record for the largest mall in the world by total area. Dubai Mall hosts more than 1,200 retail stores, over 200 food related outlets, Reel Cinemas complex and a number of educational and recreational venues, including Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, KidZania, SEGA Republic, Dubai Ice Rink and Dubai Dino.

BURJ KHALIFA ISLAND PARK

The Burj Park, covering an area of 29,000 square metres, occupies the base of Burj Khalifa and faces the Burj Khalifa lake. It is the ideal place to relax after a hectic day at work or to enjoy the Dubai Fountain water show.

DUBAI FOUNTAIN

Set on Burj Khalifa lake, in the centre of Downtown Dubai, Dubai Fountain offers captivating shows to thousand of spectators many times a day.

SOUK AL BAHAR

Souk Al Bahar, an Arabic-style shopping mall with antique, carpet, souvenir stores and waterfront restaurants, is situated at Burj Khalifa lake, opposite to Dubai Mall and connected to it by a small bridge.

DUBAI TROLLEY

The Dubai Trolley is a tramway in Downtown Dubai. Its fleet of double-deck open-top trams is providing transport services to visitors. Dubai Trolley is very popular amongst visitors. Phase 1 of the project opened in 2015. It runs along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and has three stops serving The Address, Manzil Downtown and Vida Downtown hotels.
